Home away from Home.

Take me away to some place real
'Cause they say home is where your heart is set in stone
Is where you go when you're alone
Is where you go to rest your bones
It's not just where you lay your head
It's not just where you make your bed
As long as we're together, does it matter where we go?

Everybody has that one place that they consider as home away from home. For me, that place is Ambur.

Ambur is my native place and it is a well-known fact among my friends and family that I spend every holiday that I get in Ambur. May it be just a 3-day weekend or a 3-month vacation, I stay in Ambur the whole time.

One might wonder what is so special about a small town?

For me, every second I spend in Ambur, I am surrounded by people I love and admire. Every second I spend in Ambur is stored away as a happy memory. Every breakfast, lunch or dinner, every night and every morning, each moment I spend in Ambur plays an important role in what and who I am.

The point is, it doesn't matter if a place doesn't have any popular spots, historical importance or a shopping mall. But what really matters is the presence of Family.

There's another secret reason why I love Ambur. After all, after family, food is my priority, and no place does it better than Ambur. You could never find any biryani that is as good as the traditional "badi dekh ki biryani", which you find mainly in weddings in Ambur.

And for these reasons, if there is one thing I am sure of in life, it is that I would always want to spend my holidays in Ambur, irrespective of how old I am or what I am doing in life.
